Login Help

Your Pension Profile is LAPP’s secure section of the website, launched in August 2020 to replace mypensionplan. This new section gives you mobile-friendly access to your pension information, self-serve options, and tools to help you plan for retirement or manage your pension — all without leaving lapp.ca.

By clicking on the Login icon on the blue bar in the top right corner of the LAPP website, you can:

  • Log in by entering your existing mypensionplan Username and Password; or
  • Register for access by verifying your information.

You can find step-by-step instructions on how to register for Your Pension Profile, or recover your log in information, by clicking on the applicable tab below.

  • Member Registration
  • Retiree, Beneficiary, and Survivor Registration
  • Forgot Username
  • Forgot Password

The following registration instructions will apply to you if you are an active member and currently contributing to LAPP, or a deferred member.

  1. To access Your Pension Profile, click on the Login button on the right-hand side of the top blue bar on lapp.ca. You can find it from any page of the website.

  2. When the Login window appears, select Register Now at the bottom.

  3. Registration

    Identify yourself in one of two ways:

    • First and Last name
      • exactly as it was displayed on your annual statement; or
    • Your Plan Member ID,
      • the 10-digit identifier within your annual statement or any personalized correspondence you’ve received from LAPP.

    For security purposes, you'll also be required to enter:

    • the last four digits of your SIN; and
    • your date of birth.

  4. Verify Your Identity

    You will select your preferred method of verifying your identity:

    • Receive a verification code to your preferred communication method – email, mobile phone, or home phone
      • We will send you a one-time code that you must correctly enter in the verification code field in the next step; or
    • You can Name my most recent employer
      • Tip: Begin typing the name of your current LAPP employer and select the correct name from the suggested matches; or
      • You can access the List of LAPP Employers to search for your employer’s full legal name by sector or partial name to assist you in this step of the verification process; and
      • You will also be asked to enter the postal code for your current home address

    Email verification issues: If you do not receive your email verification code, you can select Previous Step and try a different verification method.

    Phone verification issues: If you do not receive a verification code, please select the link at the bottom of the verification screen that says Receive an Automated Call Instead and a verification code will be provided by recorded message.

  5. Register Your Email Address

    Enter the email address you’d like to use to log in and receive notifications and click Send Code.

    Check your email for the verification code and enter it in the verification code field at the bottom of the screen.

    A green checkmark will appear when you have correctly entered your verification code.

  6. Preferred Communication Method

    Select how you'd like to receive your pension-related information, such as notice of tax slips, annual statements, and newsletters (printed and delivered, or Go Green and have them available online).

  7. Phone Number Confirmation

    Review and update your phone numbers to ensure we have the correct numbers on file for your mobile and home.

  8. Password

    Enter the password that you would like to use to log in to Your Pension Profile.

    Your password must:

    • be between eight (8) and 50 characters;
    • contain an upper-case letter; and
    • contain a number.

    Tip: The show/hide button enables you to hide or show the password as it is typed into the field.

  9. Registration Confirmation

    Congratulations, you’ve successfully completed the registration process and are ready to access Your Pension Profile! You'll be presented with a confirmation screen telling you the process is complete and will receive an email from us confirming your registration.

The following registration instructions will apply to you if you're a LAPP retiree receiving a pension, or if you're a beneficiary or surviving pension partner in receipt of a LAPP pension.

  1. To access Your Pension Profile, click on the Login button on the right-hand side of the top blue bar on lapp.ca. You can find it from any page of the website.

  2. When the Login window appears, select Register Now at the bottom.

  3. Registration

    Identify yourself in one of two ways:

    • First and Last name,
      • exactly as it was displayed on your annual statement; or
    • Your Plan Member ID,
      • This is your 10-digit identifier, which you can find in your annual statement or personalized correspondence from LAPP.

    For security purposes, you'll also be required to enter:

    • the last four digits of your SIN; and
    • your date of birth.
  4. Member Verification

    You'll select your preferred method of verifying your identity:

    • Receive a verification code to your preferred communication method – email, mobile phone, or home phone
      • We will send you a one-time code that you must correctly enter in the verification code field in the next step; or
    • Specify the amount of my last pension payment received to enter the net amount of your last pension payment.

    Phone verification issues: If you don't receive a verification code, please select the link at the bottom of the verification screen that says Receive an Automated Call Instead and a verification code will be provided by recorded message.

  5. Register Your Email Address

    Enter the email address you’d like to use to log in and receive notifications, then click Send Code.

    To recover your username, you'll need to provide information that matches the information we have on file for your account. You'll need to provide:

    • the email address or phone number currently associated with your pension account; and
    • your 10-digit member identifier or the last four digits of your Social Insurance Number (SIN).

    Tip: If you don't receive an email or phone text message, click Previous to enter a different email or phone number.

  4. Retrieve Username

    Your username will be sent to the email or phone number you entered. Retrieve it there and return to lapp.ca to log in.

Tip: If you don't receive a username, it may be because you haven’t registered yet. Click register now to launch the registration process or contact us for further assistance.

    To recover your password, you'll need to provide information that matches the information we have on file for your account and verify your identity.

    You will need to provide:

    • the email address or phone number currently associated with your pension account; and
    • your 10-digit member identifier or the last four digits of your Social Insurance Number (SIN).

    Tip: If you don't receive an email or phone text message, click Previous to enter a different email or phone number.

  4. Account Verification

    You'll receive a verification code to the email or phone number you provided, as long as it matches the information we have on file for you. Check your email or phone to retrieve the verification code, then return to lapp.ca to enter the code.

    Click Next after you enter your code.

    Tip: If you're trying to verify your identity by mobile phone and don't receive your code, you can select Receive a Code by Recorded Message to get the code to your home phone.

    Tip: If you don't receive a username, it may be because you haven’t registered yet. Click register now launch the registration process or contact us for further assistance.

  5. Enter Your New Password

    You'll need to enter a new password  the same password needs to be typed into both spaces. Once the passwords match, you can click Submit.

  6. Log In

    After you click Submit, your account is updated with your new password and you can log in to Your Pension Profile using your new account information.
