LAPP’s 250,000+ members have an award-winning website! It is one of the many ways LAPP members are Always a LAPP Ahead!
On October 12, 2017, the new member-centric LAPP website was recognized with an award for Pension Communications at the Benefits Canada 2017 Workplace Benefits Awards.
Sheri Wright, VP Stakeholder Relations and Communications, ALAPP Corp. and Cara Alexander‑Brown, Manager, Digital Media, Alberta Pensions Services Corporation (APS), were on hand to receive the award and speak to key elements that contributed to the website's resounding success.
On Thursday, May 25, LAPP’s new website won two awards from the International Association of Business Communicators (IABC), Edmonton Chapter. The awards are given to acknowledge the good work that is being done in the communications profession to benefit the people who are receiving the information. Our work is done to benefit you, our members, whether active or retired. For us at LAPP, excellent communications means improved service to our members, which is our continued focus.
While it is nice to have the praise from external sources, the best accolades for the new website have come from you the members, who have provided your input and your feedback to making the website better. So stay in touch and keep up the good work! We want to hear from you.
Pensions can be a complex and uninspiring subject for people to learn and this website was built to make it interesting, easy to understand and yes, even fun!
