LAPP Chief Executive Officer to depart

Ron Liteplo, the Chief Executive Officer of the Local Authorities Pension Plan, will be leaving on October 31, 2009. Mr. Liteplo has accepted a senior position with EPCOR Utilities.
Mr. Liteplo's accomplishments at LAPP are many. He will leave the plan in a very well managed position, recognized as having best practices in a number of areas. He will be missed by the Board of Trustees, by his employees, and by the pension community in Canada.
The Board will meet on August 25 to make decisions concerning how Mr. Liteplo will be replaced. An acting CEO will be in place upon Ron's departure. We are confident that the transition of authority will take place in an orderly fashion.
